We woke up early and had a fabulous breakfast of Keish, croissant, chocolate croissant, goat cheese and much much more. I was concerned that the withdrawal from this fantastic food will be tough. We reached campground early enough but our bikes were in a safe room and the camp owners weren't opening the office till 8 am so we had to wait around.
We left camp at 8 am and continued through towns without any major stops. The idea was to reach Shediac and have a longer break. We avoided the turns in the route and took the major route 11 and followed it until we got to Shediac. Once in Shediac, I stopped at a Subway and got a 6inch veggie sub and then cycled to Tim Hortons to meet the rest of the group and ordered 1//2L of Chocolate milk to accompany my sub.
From thereon we moved on towards our camp and there was a scenic loop option available. Since we didn't take any side routes in the morning, we decided to do the loop. We stopped by a wharf and sat there and I had a banana and a sandwich. The ride hereafter was pretty windy and i stopped to pics of proud houses who lined their front yards with Acadian flags and decorations. We got in to camp around 5 pm and dinner tonight was Greek salad, spicy chinese noodles and cake for dessert since it was Kendra's birthday.
Tomorrow we cross in to PEI through the confederation bridge and we have
to take a shuttle since bikes or pedestrians aren't allowed. Breakfast
will end early and we intend to be on shuttle early so we can enjoy the
short day.
