Day 15 – Rest Day – Drum Heller – Thursday July 5th, 2012.

Since we already did our chores yesterday, today I woke up a little late, had a toast breakfast and we all got ready for doing some sightseeing and a visit to the museum . as we were getting ready, we hear a loud noise at the back of truck and soon realized that the rear stairs collapsed and Fred was on top of it and he blacked out for a few moments. He hurt his foot and was in pain, which ultimately resulted in limping.

We left for the Tyrell museum of anthropology and saw a gold course in the badlands, boxed with a dinosaur statue on the way and were there in 15 minutes. The museum has a very good collection of information, findings, fossils and various remains of the dinosaur remains and such. It was very surprising and cool to know that many of the discoveries were done by ordinary people while they were fishing, hiking or walking in the area. It also enlightened me on the fact that it can take upto 3 years after discovery, pending the size and seriousness of the find, to extract, cast and transport the fossil discovery.

After museum we went for lunch then to pharmacy, dollarama, Canadian tire, source by circuit city. While returning I found out an Indian place so Ron and I ventured to take a look at the menu. We ended up picking the menus and I came back and cleaned up my bike and had another, it was a hot day and the ride in camp, Ron and I did 35km/h.

We(8 people) ended up ordering an Indian take out and it hit the spot right on. Arranged the baskets for last time and prepared clothes for tomorrow and we hit the tents around 10 pm.
